It's Friday... I'm in Love.

After working a half day at work yesterday I decided to start rounding up a few things for the Christmas season that is fast approaching. I picked up some feathers, wrapping paper, and ribbon so I can decorate my presents like this:
Started working on a few little DIY presents for my family and friends. I have a best friend that is obsessed with scarfs, so why not personalize one with a few of our favorite quotes. Something said by Marilyn Monroe or maybe a line from the famous hockey speech in Miracle should work. Haven’t quite decided but thanks to Pinterest this is a perfect present.
This mug makes me laugh so hard, especially since my little sister is obsessed with mustaches. She is that person who takes strands of her hair and holds it under her nose and talks in an accent. Yeah, she is weird. So why not make this mug for her morning coffee? If it turns out I may make a few extra.
It was a good night for sports last night! Boyfriend won his hockey game in a shootout and he scored the winning goal. I was very proud… Also my other boyfriend, Tim Tebow, beat the Jets last night. Love love love. {Its okay that I have two boyfriends right?}
Another love of mine is Christina Perri’s “Thousand Years.” This song has been on repeat ever since it became a single on my iPod. It's truly amazing. I love that it is for Twilight… although I am not a huge Twilight fan, I really enjoyed the books and movies and cannot wait to see the movie later this weekend once all the die-hards have seen it. Haha. I would say “poor boyfriend that he has to be dragged along to watch Breaking Dawn with me” but one of our first dates was to New Moon forever ago, so it’s kind of tradition that we see the rest together. Cute, huh?
Lastly, I am loving my new red-bowed-leopard flats... Adding a little flare to the engineering office today.
What are you guys loving this fantastic Friday? I wanna know.

I Love Goldddd.

Yeah, its definitely a day to rock gold. A few days ago, I bought a pair of black stacked heels, I wore them in a fashion show {that I did so well in, they asked me to come back for tonight's show} and when I got done with the first look the front of the heel started to tear. I was heartbroken.

So yesterday, I took them back and that's when I got bad news... They no longer had a pair in my size left and it would take 2 weeks to special order a new pair. Yeah right! So instead they took me to the back and pulled out a pair of gold glitter stacked heels same style as the black pair. I quickly grabbed/hugged them to my body and yelled SOLD!
Since then I have been inspired. Everything needs to be gold now. First my nails.... Done.
Then came changing my usual, typical silver accessories to my gold pieces... I am wearing this ring today. Love love love.
I am now ready for our work Christmas party (in 17 days) and New Years Eve. Pinterest is giving me plenty of ideas how to bling out the holidays coming up. Check it out here.

and may the odds be ever in your favor.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but college classes and my job are making it nearly impossible to do anything blog-related. I am on my computer for 10 hours a day making drawings and blueprints, so when I finally get done for the day I want nothing to do with a monitor and a mouse. But I thought I would take a break from the workday, as I sit here listening to the second Hunger Games book, Catching Fire, to talk about these books. Ahh, I am in love with this series. I got on the Twilight train too late to be in love with it and by that time everyone was obsessed, so it wasn't fun. Now with this book series I feel like one of the originals. I am now the one trying to get all my friends to read it and want people to talk about it with. As most of you probably know the trailer came out earlier this week and now I can't stop thinking about it. {Hence the reason I am re-reading/listening to the series again.} The books are phenominal.

Plus, this cast is gorgeous... Thank you Vanity Fair for doing a shoot with them.
 Now this is a love triangle!
 Anyone else obsessed with this Hunger Games series?

How about  now after you've seen the trailer? Who's excited?!

I Do My Little Turn On The Catwalk.

Yeah... I am sure "I'm too Sexy" by Right Said Fred is running through your head right now but its for a good reason...
I was suckered into the one thing that gives me crazy anxiety... walking down a catwalk for a fashion show tonight. Yeahhh here's the deal... the casino in town does a Ladies Night every Thursday night in which a store hosts a fashion show, appetizers, and drink specials.
Throughout the show, they do drawings and give away prizes such as a makeover, dining certificates, and hotel stays. Trust me its sooo fun, if and only if you aren’t doing the strut down the runway.
Haha. My best friend, Kate, is manager of the store Items downtown Petoskey… so as my best friends duties were called upon. I will be wearing 4 outfits and I want to steal everything I am wearing…. Especially the fur.
Cannot wait until its over with and I can enjoy:
$2 Cosmos & Martinis $2.50 Margaritas & Wine $2.25 Draft
Be expecting a post tomorrow about whether or not I fall… Keep your fingers crossed for me! Ohh and if any of you lovely ladies have advice about how to nail this… it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Pick One.

So I have been involved in a heated musical debate for the past week {its been a month, but that sounded too crazy} about which song is better. The only way I believe this debate can be solved is to ask the blogging world... What song do you prefer to listen to on repeat?

Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera
VS

Super Bass - Nicki Minaj
The boy and I both decided you cannot vote on the video... just the song! VOTE AWAY LOVES.

What I Love Wednesday {5}

Today I am linking up with this kind of love for a little What I Love Wednesday post.

1. My boyfriend - yeah, its pretty cheesy to put him as number one, but we have made it a week of being "official." Cheers to that!

2. Planning on buying this bracelet from Etsy with my best friend, Emily at Live, Laugh, and Shop.
"It's a great day for hockey"
3. Its my mom's birthday! She is everything to me and its safe to say I would be lost without her.
4. My brother made it to the second round of football playoffs so that means we get to roadtrip to Mount Pleasant, Michigan to watch him play.

5. Buying Halloween decorations the day after for 75% off.

6. Making a Pabst Blue Ribbon-inspired cake for my friend Scotty for his birthday.
7. My fingernail polish this week... Russian Navy. Love love love. It was for my Halloween costume, but I think its gonna stay awhile.
What are you guys loving this beautiful November Wednesday?

Halloweekend Festivities.

This Halloween weekend was one of my favorites. Not only was my costume easy and fun to wear but the boys' costumes turned out even better. Its fun to just celebrate dressing up and going out for the night. So here are a few pictures of my night as Rosie the Riveter.
The Gilligan Island Cast
{The Skipper, Gilligan, & The Professor}

How was your Halloween? I want to know what everyone was and any DIY projects you performed to make your costume the best! I want to share my project with you guys... The boyfriend needed a Skipper hat  and all I could find at the costume shop was one for the air force. So I took off the patch and replaced it with an anchor patch. Then I removed the gold ribbon and changed it out with some golden rope with knots. I couldn't be happier and the boyfriend loved it! I guess that's all that matters :)
 Happy Belated Halloween everyone! Cannot wait to see your wonderful costumes :)
