What I Love Wednesday.

I thought I would share what I am loving this Wednesday morning.
I love:
Seeing The Hobbit in 3D on Monday. I adore date nights with the boy. It is so much fun to go out in public and act silly.
My brother's rendition of how to wrap Christmas presents.
My company Christmas party date.
Putting together my best friend's "hostess basket." I got her a few things from downtown Petoskey. Cranberry wine, Mango Habenaro Salsa, and blue chips. Perfect items for my favorite hostess.
Getting reminders from lunch's fortune cookie.

Thanks to Pinterest... I will be making these the next 2 days for our company wide potluck.
 OR
What I love most?
We are about to be hit with a huge snowstorm.... I put a red dot on the map to show where I live.
It's going to be a very white Christmas! Bring it on. I am finally ready for some (or a lot) of snow.

What are you guys loving this Wednesday? I want to hear.

What I'm Loving Wednesday {7}

It’s my favorite time of the blogging week… I get to talk about what I love on this beautiful yet freezing Wednesday. I am linking up with Jamie so I can share my obsessions and hopefully discover a few new ones as well.

Here we go!

Nicole Miller golf club covers. I got new clubs on my birthday in April and my sister was trying to find me Miami University covers for them, but everywhere is out of stock. So finally I bit the bullet last week and ordered these babies. They are in Warhol print which have little bright golf bag designs throughout them. Love!
Sweet shoutout tweets from little brother.

Margarita date with my love. Endless chips & salsa. Laughs. Tequila. Great combination!
Qdoba date with my mom. We went on a shopping spree this past weekend and worked up quite an appetite. We don't have one in my hometown so it was nice to eat something that reminds me of my days at college.

Modern Family premiere is tonight!

Sundays & Wednesdays at the rink. Its great seeing all the boys again after the summer suited up and hitting the ice. How I have missed this.
Decorating my apartment for autumn. So cozy.

Seeing House at the End of the Street with my best girlfriends. I highly recommend it... Very suspenseful and a great story! Not too scary though, just creepy to think about.

Punking the boy with a 6 pack of mini Budweisers. These things are only 7 ounces and cost around $3 bucks... Best prank ever. He didn't even notice their size until he went to put one to his lips and had to lean in to meet it. His face was priceless and his friends' reactions to him drinking them at a football tailgate later was so good!
What are you loving today? I need new loves in my life, so let me know.

What I Love Wednesday. {6}

I haven't done one of these in forever, so I am sure I can easily fill this post up. Here are a few things I am loving this rainy and cold Wednesday morning.
  • Pumpkin Spice Lattes.
  • Getting flowers from the boy for honestly no reason.
  • Tonight I will be attending my first hockey game of the season. Yes, the NHL is currently in a lockout but at least that doesn't mean the boyfriend won't have a season. Thank goodness for men's league hockey! I need a hockey fix, badly.
  • Finishing the One Tree Hill series. I am currently on Season 6 and I'm trucking my way through it on Netflix.
  • Fall themed candles.
  • Having three kinds of wine in my refrigerator. The boy couldn't decide on what kind to get so he got all three. In his words, "I figured we could have our own private wine tasting party."
  • Received a new People Puzzler for this hockey season. I spend a lot of time waiting for the boy before and after his games, so this baby gets me through it.
  • The Grand Valley State University football team. Little brother is on the team & I am so proud.
  • Hunkering down on rainy, cold days like this on the couch.
  • Bones has started back up with season 8. I am still smiling after its season premiere on Monday. So good!
  • Loving my family and friends who have made my life busy and extremely fun lately. Never a dull moment.
So what are you loving this Wednesday in September? I want know so maybe I can be talking about my new found love next week.

What I Love Wednesday {5}

Today I am linking up with this kind of love for a little What I Love Wednesday post.

1. My boyfriend - yeah, its pretty cheesy to put him as number one, but we have made it a week of being "official." Cheers to that!

2. Planning on buying this bracelet from Etsy with my best friend, Emily at Live, Laugh, and Shop.
"It's a great day for hockey"
3. Its my mom's birthday! She is everything to me and its safe to say I would be lost without her.
4. My brother made it to the second round of football playoffs so that means we get to roadtrip to Mount Pleasant, Michigan to watch him play.

5. Buying Halloween decorations the day after for 75% off.

6. Making a Pabst Blue Ribbon-inspired cake for my friend Scotty for his birthday.
7. My fingernail polish this week... Russian Navy. Love love love. It was for my Halloween costume, but I think its gonna stay awhile.
What are you guys loving this beautiful November Wednesday?

What I'm Loving Wednesday! {4}

It’s my favorite time of the blogging week… I get to talk about what I love on this beautiful Wednesday. I am linking up with Jamie so I can share my obsessions and hopefully discover a few new ones as well. Here we go!
1.     Loving the color 'light blue.'
Currently rocking OPI’s “I Vant To Be A-Lone Star” nail polish from their Texas line on my hands and my blue-plaid Sperry’s on my feet.
2.     Good movies
Something Borrowed came out on DVD yesterday and since I work forever long, I sent my brother out to pick up a copy at Family Video {my biggest fear was they would run out of copies before I got there} I literally cannot wait any longer. When it came out in theatres, I had purchased the book but didn’t finish it, so I thought I would take my time to get through it then see the movie later. Now is later! So worth the wait. I was literally laughing and saying "awwww" outloud. The book was WAY better, but the movie held up in my opinion.
3.     Bad movies
I went on a date this weekend and for some crazy reason I choose the movie “Cowboys and Aliens.” Looking back on it now, I have no idea why I did other than I have been obsessed with zombies lately and like sci-fi stuff. {No correlation really but it makes sense to me.} Ohh well, the date was perfect regardless. We were the only ones in the theatre {first sign not to pick this movie} and we picked apart the story line and characters the entire time. You know when you have that night when you say good one-liners and they just keep coming out of your mouth one right after the other? That was me on this date… and he thinks I am funny so that’s a win-win. {The boy is a keeper. There have been many dates after our poor movie choice date.}
4.   You and I – Lady Gaga
I love this women. I think it’s because every song she writes makes incredible music for me to choreograph. I love getting really creative with her songs… She is so unique that it makes okay to think out of the box. She tweeted her new music video for “You and I” yesterday and since it was my favorite track of the album, I wanted an insane video. That’s exactly what I got… Gaga as a man and a mermaid? Pretty great stuff. Check it out!

5.   Drinks with girlfriends Last night was $2 Tuesday at one of our favorite restaurants, City Park Grill. I met up with the girlfriends and drank a few Summer Shandy’s for cheap. Nothing like cheap drinks and great conversations!
6.   Bachelor Pad 2 It’s a guilty pleasure but sooooo worth it. Last episode made me cry and trust me I never have gotten that emotional during any of those reality shows. **SPOILER** but honestly once Ames runs to the limo after Jackie, I look up at The Boy for a second and he looks down at me and admitted “Okay that is sweet. He really loves her.” So while I got emotional he just kept saying “Wow, alright man!” I was already hooked before that, but now I will keep watching for sure!
7. Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Coral Shimmer 120
I swear by this lipstick. I have always been the girl who needs a layer of Carmex on my lips all the time, but this has easily topped/replaced that. The color is beautiful and I love how moistening it feels because it doesn’t have the usual dry-lipstick feeling. It applies just like a balm and has been my go-to color for the summer months.

8. Vacation away from work.
Lately, I have felt a little burned out from work- the long hours and days on end devoted to engineering jobs so I am taking a little break from it. Sleep in a few days and spend some time sorting my life out. My boss is amazing and letting me take this time for myself. Should be nice to have a change of pace!

9. Starting a whole new diet and exercise routine.
I went with my best friend earlier this week to sign up for a gym membership that includes Zumba classes. I am still going to go on my long distance runs by the water but I figured I needed a little gym time in my life. K will be a big help and motivator for me as well, so I am looking forward to getting into it hardcore!
10. This weather!
As everyone complains about the heat, I am loving it! I want more of it…. Nothing is better than getting out of work, putting the top down on my convertible and driving home along the shore of Lake Michigan. I am excited for fall but I am going to enjoy the last days of hotness. I am going to miss it once the snow starts falling {yikes!}

So what are you loving this Wednesday? Any favorites?!

What I'm Loving Wednesday {3}

Today I am linking up with LittleDaisyMay.blogspot.com to complete my 3rd edition of “What I'm Loving Wednesday!” I am happy we are halfway through the week and lately things have been going well… so I have to clue you guys in.
ONE: I am loving that my little brother left me a handwritten note and a friendship bracelet on my dresser this morning. I woke up at 4:30 am to the cutest little surprise. {Its the tri-colored one!}
TWO: I am loving that this same little brother is currently talking me up to his athletic football trainer/physical therapist this summer. As soon as Joe found out that his trainer goes down to Miami University in the summer to train the hockey players and watch over the camps, he started dropping my name even more. I am not going to lie – I am interested… extremely interested. So he can keep saying good things about me because in a few weeks, once high school football starts I will be there cheering on Joe and checking out the trainer on the sidelines. {Win-win}
THREE: I am loving that I have cut down my Diet Coke addiction to one can a day. {Used to be three…yikes}
FOUR: I am loving that my bookcase is insanely full right now with books I’ve read this summer and others that I can’t wait to get too.

FIVE: Getting to spend time with my sister on the lake.. We are both workaholics so a day off is celebrate together!
Kelly & Me
SIX: Last BUT not least… I am loving that there are only 2 months, well 66 days, until Miami University AND the Detroit Red Wings’ hockey season begins! To celebrate, my best friend Brandon and I wore our Sauce Hockey t-shirts today. We planned it over dinner last night… call us lame, but we are diehard hockey fans.
What are you guys loving this beautiful, hot Wednesday? I wanna know what else to be obsessing over this month.

What I'm Loving Wednesdays! {2}

I am linking up to littledaisymay.blogspot.com today to tell my wonderful 62 followers about what I am lovin' this Wednesday! I can't believe I have that many followers. I started this blog because my best friend Emily peer-pressured me into it and now I don't know what I would do to relax at the end of the day without blogging and reading other's posts. So I am definitely loving this blog. It's my journal and inspiration. So thank you for reading!
1. The fact that it’s Wednesday {making it Thursday in my workweek} since I am taking Friday off. Sounds confusing but makes total sense to me. {See next item}
2. Friday is Petoskey’s Sidewalk Sales! It means I get to wake up at the time I would be starting my workday to go downtown and shop in the streets. The stores give amazing discounts and sales, not to mention lunch and drinks outside since all the bars/restaurants put their tables in the street. It’s seriously my favorite part of summer! Pretty soon these streets will be CROWDED with clothes and people.

3. Also, Friday night is Harbor Spring’s Regatta. This translates into walking the docks to look at all the beautiful sailboats before they set sail on Lake Michigan. They hold a large party for all locals and participants, so it turns into a huge class reunion for those up for the summer before returning to college. Its so preppy… so I can’t wait to put together an outfit for the occasion. That’s all the fun!

Last Year's Regatta. {Kas, Dylan, Me, Rebecca, Kate, & Lauren}
4. Every day after work, we have been hitting the beach. There is nothing better than working a 10 hour day then driving down the road a bit to the State Park. After a quick dip in the lake, all the stress and worry from the day seems to melt away.

5. We have had customers {VIPs of the aerospace engineering world} in at work this week. This translates to dinners out and serious butt kissing. I was just happy that one of the engineers graduated from Miami University. So we were probably ignoring as we talked about Bagel and Deli, nights dancing at Brick Street, or where the best frat house to party at was.
6. Netflix arrived yesterday with the first season of The Walking Dead. I don’t know what it is but I love watching zombie related things… I even turned to *the boy* last night and said “I would like to think that I would make it through a zombie attack.” He just held back a laugh, smiled, then nodded… So I took that as he thinks I would die in the first few hours. The series is pretty amazing… the makeup is flawless and looks so real, its creepy.
7. What’s not creepy though is the fact that Boondock Saint’s actor (which is my favorite movie} Norman Reedus is a character in this series. Ahh, I love the toughness he brings to ever role, not to mention the fact he’s serious eye candy for me. So for the next few days as I work my way through the season, I get to drool over him. Win-win.
8. My dog Lola.... this was her last night. She was just hanging out with her ball. Stinkin' adorable.

So as you can see most of the things I am loving are PLANS! Seriously, I need to stop planning my life out so much but if the place that you live has such amazing events going on, its hard not to fill my social calendar up. Plus the people I get to spend it are the ones who make it fun. Hope you guys have fun things planned for the weekend… I can’t believe its only Wednesday and I am geared up for Friday. I shouldn’t rush time, huh?

So what are you guys loving this beautiful Wednesday?
